Day +3

So, hello there, pain. I was wondering when you'd get here!
Last night the mouth finally exploded. My tongue is swollen and feels as if it is being constantly grated and the rest of my mouth just feels like I'm chewing on glass. Not pleasant... but it is surprisingly bearable. I can still swallow so that means I can still eat and therefore keep my strength up; allegedly. Let me fill you in on yesterdays culinary hospital delights. Bear in mind you'd think a hospital would promote healthy eating!

Two weetabix, full fat milk and OJ for brekkie
Mutton Pie, baked beans and creamy mash for lunch
Chicken Tikka Masala with Fried Rice for Dinner.

Total lack of fruit and veggies here!

Here's my nurse with some pain meds. I'm gong to check out for an hour.

OK - you're milking the whole birthday thing now - change the tune - might I suggest Snow Patrol or Take That as it is nearly our anniversary month!!!!

Love you..........xx

Wullie
Good to hear you are bearing up with this. Those lights at the end of the tunnel are getting brighter and before too long you will need you sunglasses.
Keep it up
Chris

Yuck, that food doesn't sound so yummy. I think I would lose soooo much weight if I had to stay in the hospital because I'm such a picky eater. Have Veronica sneak you in some veggies, if you're allowed them! Thanks for the email, I just got to the Island and I will hit you back soon!

Ey up chap.....
Sorry for the late well-wishes, we were away in the tin box on wheels.
So...your getting spoiled rotten, pampered 24/7, being fed all sorts of culinary delights. You should consider yourself lucky that your not subjected to Claires cooking on a daily basis. ( only kidding, honest Claire ) ive just had a 4 gallon bowl of home made lentil soup for lunch, she is practicing now for the Braco show industrial entry. After her momentous first place win with her Carrot cake at last years show she is donning her apron once more in pursuit of yet more awards.
Spose i'll be eating soup, lemon curd, sausage rolls ( with puff pastry ) and individual trifle every day from now until July 28th, MMmmmmm.
We could sneak you in some soup if you like. Should be easy enough, we could wrap it up in a pampers size 5. Nobody would ever know the difference as it looks just like baby poo. ( painting pictures with words ).
By the way...Thanks very much for the loan of the car. Claire managed to get all the way to Stirling and back, and only bumped it 3 times. ( Just kidding, it was only twice really ! )
She hit Clarks in a big way and spent 6 million quid on new trainers for Lucy and Katie.
Anyway...Back to you.
Hope everything is progressing as planned and your keeping your pecker up.
Great blog site, I'll check in on a regular basis.

All the best fella.
Love
Steve, Claire & the girls xx
