Day -5 continued.

So the day gets more interesting.
Veronica wakes up to discover a mini flood upstairs. One plumber in later and it appears the sealant around the bath is dodgy and water has steadily been building up over time. It decided last night would be a good time to break out. Ruined carpets and a new ceiling in the kitchen downstairs were the only damage.
Next, my dad pops into my attic to make sure there are no faulty pipes to discover a wasps nest. The exterminators will be out tomorrow.

Finally, I found a little friend in the bathroom of my des res room.

A cockroach.

I'm waiting to see if I now have to vacate this room and move to the "emergency room". A room so small I can stand in the middle and touch all the walls.

Oh crikey, Its all happening! what a nightmare, I like the way you said the only damage is the kitchen ceiling and carpets-I would be having kittens but on the scale of things maybe not.

Hope you don't lose your contact with us all in your move.

Keep you pecker up Wullie, you are doing great by the sound of things.

Bye for now

Oh gosh! What a crazy day for you!! It's like things just waited for you to leave to go bad! Poor Veronica! And poor you for having a "visitor" that's GROSS, I would become a giant asshole until someone did something about it, come on now - sheesh, you don't need to catch infection from gross bugs everywhere. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you!

They say bad things happen in threes - plumbing, wasps, roaches. You're done. It should be smooth sailing from here!

I hope someone caught the little guy and escorted him off the premises. Hate to tell you but even with a room with a window you could still have visitors in the darkness of the night :{ Hope we'll hear soon that you've been given the Presidential (or in your case the Queen) suite for the rest of your stay.

Sorry for the problems the house is giving Veronica. Best news is....as someone said...the three bad things are behind you now....hopefully the next few weeks are uneventful.

Just checking in on you today, I hope all is well and you've been moved to a new room. I'm officially deported, it secretly made me cry - more exciting than the last chemo, because now it means I'm officially DONE! If you get bored today, email me. I'll play games with you online or chat with ya - I'm staying in tonight :)
